We just wrapped up an unforgettable week-long stay at Trout House Village Resort and can’t stop raving about it. Everything was top-notch—from the cozy, well-appointed cabins to the absolutely stunning views of Lake George. The outdoor amenities were a dream come true for the fam. We took full advantage of the complimentary kayaks and canoes. It was also great a wide array of life vest options were available to use. The roped-off swim area was perfect for the kids, giving them a safe place to play while we relaxed and soaked in the scenery. The docks made it super easy to tie up our rental boat and hop on the lake whenever we wanted. A special shoutout to the staff—every single person we encountered was incredibly kind and helpful. One of the nicest touches was how they quietly slipped in to tidy the rooms each day without ever disrupting our relaxation. It’s that kind of thoughtful detail that really sets THV apart. Peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for families—this place is a gem. Would definitely love to return again in the future!
My family and I had a wonderful time at Trout House Village! I wish I’d known about it sooner because I’d be coming frequently throughout the year. The lodges are beautiful, fully stocked with kindling for fires, among the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in, and beautiful views of Lake George. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. Thank you for such a wonderful time here!

Returned to the Trout House after many many years away and it was pure magic of memories past upon arrival. While it has changed a bit it still remains the same. The cabins are immaculate, the staff is warm and welcoming and the fact that Cubby came and laid with us was everything to make our stay complete. We could not be happier and now plan on making this an annual trip. 5 Stars doesn’t even cover the core memories made here!
Nothing but 5-stars all around for this beautiful Adirondack retreat. It is a great location for gathering family and friends. Everything from the property, to the rooms, to the owners themselves are excellent. We stayed in the Wheeler House for my wedding weekend in 2022 and attempted to return a year later for a family reunion. Due to a serious illness, we had to cancel days before our booked date. The owners were so understanding, giving us back a generous credit towards our initial deposit with a very long time frame to return and use it. By the grace of God, we were able to utilize the credit this past October weekend and it was perfect! Some of our favorite activities at the Trout House include: shuffleboard, ping pong, canoeing, volleyball, badminton, and watching the sunrise from their beautiful dock! There are plenty of hikes in the surrounding area- we accessed one right from the property! Motor boat rentals are also available right across the street…we booked a beautiful pontoon boat and were able to dock it at the Trout House. I truly cannot say enough about this place. It holds a very special place in my heart. We will definitely be back for more family reunions in the future!
Stayed Oct 16-18 in Eagle View great service, amazingly beautiful view!! I left a jacket in the room and they offered to ship it to me! Very clean and extremely friendly staff!
What an amazing place! Looked like Switzerland or Austria! So cozy and comfortable with all the house amenities you could ask for in a short visit! Highly recommend!
Trout House Village is our home away from home during the winter months. My wife, our small puppy, and I visit every two weeks from December through March, for several years now and each stay is a special memory for us. We enjoy the peace and tranquility that winter brings in the Adirondacks. The owners, Alice, Scott, and their staff go above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the cabins are always impeccably clean. The winter scenery is breathtaking, and there’s nothing better than relaxing by the fire each night. If you’re looking for a cozy, well-maintained retreat with outstanding hospitality, this is the place!
